Overflow and Lottery Information for North Trail High School
Due to higher than anticipated enrolment growth at North Trail High School, the school is currently over capacity and unable to accommodate all students who live within the designated school boundary. For this reason, enrolment will continue to be capped, and the overflow will remain in place. New North Trail High School registrations that cannot be accommodated will be overflowed to Crescent Heights High School. The overflow will remain in place until it is no longer required.
A lottery will be held on Feb. 12, 2025, for all incoming Grade 10 students. Students who are unsuccessful in the lottery will be overflowed to Crescent Heights High School and placed on a call-back list based on priority designation and the date and time of their registration. Any new students entering Grades 11 and 12 in the 2025-2026 school year will be overflowed to Crescent Heights High School and placed on the call-back list.

Regular Program
What is the Regular Program?
The Regular Program spans from kindergarten through grade 12, providing a comprehensive educational experience. In alignment with provincial standards, our curriculum not only integrates academics, arts, and physical education but also emphasizes tailoring the learning adventure to individual strengths and interests. We're all about inclusivity, providing special education resources to support diverse learning needs. Beyond the classroom, students dive into a world of extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, music, and community service, making every day exciting. We believe in teamwork, actively encouraging parental involvement through events like parent-teacher conferences, creating a collaborative and supportive educational atmosphere.
Alternative Program
Learning to Fit Each Student's Needs and Interests
Alternative programs provide a distinct educational experience by focusing on specific subjects or languages and engaging students with advanced learning methods or in unique classroom environments. These programs are designed to personalize education to meet students' learning needs and goals. Additionally, some alternative programs may be more flexible regarding schedule or structure, giving students greater control over their learning. Parental involvement is highly encouraged through activities such as parent-teacher conferences and school events.
Registration for Non-Canadian Students
Welcome to Our Diverse and Inclusive Academic Community!
We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to non-Canadian students who are eager to embark on an enriching educational journey with us. Our schools are welcoming, caring, respectful and safe environments where students will learn, make new friends, and discover their talents and interests. Students who are not Canadian citizens must register through CBE Welcome Centre, even if they have attended school elsewhere in Canada.
