Educational Opportunities
Last Call for France Exchange
A last-minute opportunity just came up for a female student going into grade 11 or 12 who has already taken French 20 or will be taking it during the upcoming school year. If interested, please discuss the idea immediately as a family and then email: hadunsmoor@cbe.ab.ca From there. Ms. Dunsmoor will put you in touch with the program coordinator.
Here are some essential details from the directors of the Alberta exchange programs:
A student from France is currently without a match due to a recent withdrawal, and we wanted to check one more time in case there’s someone who may be interested or had previously considered the program.
We know this is coming late in the year and timelines would be tight. The program involves an 8‑week exchange: hosting in Alberta in the fall and travelling to France in the spring.
Reminders
Lost and Found Items
We still have many items in our lost and found bins. Please check bins for any unclaimed items prior to the end of the day on June 26. Any remaining items will be donated on Monday, June 29.
Yearbook Pickup
If you have not picked up your 2026-2027 yearbook, please pick it up in the office, during office hours. Unfortunately, there are no extras available.
Grade 12 Data Clean Up
The CBE is reminding all students to save the files they wish to keep on a personal drive, prior to June 26, 2026. It is especially important for students who are graduating or leaving the CBE to move all of their files over to personal storage because they will lose access to their CBE Account after August 31, 2026, and their CBE address and mailbox will be deleted permanently. Podcast Explores the Science of Finishing What You Start
Dr. Greg Wells’ latest podcast episode, “The Science of Finishing What You Start With Chris Bailey,” invites listeners to think differently about goal setting, follow through, and the daily choices that shape sustained progress. Rather than relying on motivation or willpower alone, the episode points to the importance of aligning goals with what matters most, then translating those priorities into daily action. Listen on Apple, Spotify, or watch on YouTube this week.
