Good Afternoon NTHS Families

The gym was alive with the sound of music on Wednesday evening. Band students from Captain Nichola Goddard, Valley Creek, Nose Creek, and North Trail all performed two songs each, followed by a culminating performance of the song Majestica that they performed as an ensemble. Thank you to all the students, staff, and parents who came together to make it a successful evening.  

Let's go, Nighthawks! 🎉 Our two robotics teams, 24124 and 26145, worked hard over the weekend to host our first robotics competition of the year and placed 1st and 7th at the event! This is only the beginning, and we can’t wait to see what our team accomplishes in January and beyond! Career Planning / Post-Secondary 

MC College is heading to North Trail on Tuesday, December 10 and will be hosting an information session in the Theatre at Lunch. This is a perfect opportunity for those who are interested in beauty and aesthetics to learn about turning their interests into a potential profession after high school. MC College will be presenting information about their programs, including hairstyling, lash technicians, and more.

Graduation Reminders

Graduation Requirements 

Preparations are being made for our very first graduating class and commencement. The graduation ceremony will take place from 9am-12pm on May 28, 2025 at the BMO Centre. The evening reception will be held on the same day and location from 7-11pm. In order to participate in the ceremony, students must have 75 credits at the end of Semester 1 and have all of their fees paid. In February, administration will post a graduation list that will confirm which students have met these criteria. Students with outstanding fees will be asked to create a plan with the business office to ensure that their fees are fully paid before they are added to the graduation list. In anticipation of this date, please log in to your MyCBE account to ensure that your account is up to date. Check the Nighthawk News and/or your email for more grad information in the upcoming month. 

Grad Photo Reminders 

Over 400 students have booked their grad photo session. This is just a reminder that this upcoming week will be your final opportunity to get your grad photo taken. If  you would like to prebook an appointment, follow this link: https://prestigeportraits.ca/  

On Friday, December 13, those students who have not prebooked an appointment will have a chance to get some quick grad photos taken for the yearbook.
