Good Afternoon Nighthawk Families: 

Yesterday, during lunch, the gym was at full seated capacity during our talent show, as students cheered on a number of performers. The talent show was one of many events during NTHS' Culture Week. Students also dressed in cultural attire, sampled a variety of dishes from food trucks, and learned about different cultures in a school wide Kahoot.

Alberta Citizenship Award

Congrats to Dara Ajayi who was selected as our school nominee for the Alberta Citizenship Award, which is given by the Government of Alberta to recognize students who have contributed to their communities through public service and voluntary endeavors. She is being recognized for her outstanding citizenship, leadership,  and community service.  

Activities in the Building 

Leadership is hosting a bottle drive on Saturday, May 31 from 10am to 2pm. Bring your bottles to the school between those hours and help us raise some funds to offset the cost of upcoming Student Leadership Conferences in the 2025-2026 school year. Your support will help more students attend these valuable conferences and bring back their experiences to our school community. Thank you in advance for your support! 

Reminders 

Modified Schedule/ Graduation Reminders 

On Monday, May 26, there will be a modified schedule, due to an extended afternoon Trail Time. This change is to accommodate the grad rehearsal. Please also remember that our first NTHS graduation is taking place on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the BMO.This means that there is no school for our grade 10s and 11s on that day.  Our grade 12s have received several graduation newsletters and instructions during Trail Time with important information related to location and timing. Please refer to those emails for any necessary information. Regular classes will occur on all other days of this upcoming week.
