Fall Break Reminder 

There will be no school on Monday, November 11 and Tuesday, November 12 for Fall Break. We hope all students and families enjoy a restful long weekend. 

Remembrance Day Observances 

As we approach Remembrance Day on Monday, November 11, our school community has come together to honour and remember those who have served, and continue to serve, in times of war, conflict, and peace. While we did not hold a traditional assembly this year, we engaged in meaningful school-wide activities that reflected both the solemnity of the occasion and the needs of our community. Thank you to Keshini Senanayake and Laurie Lemmond for their hardworking with these initiatives. 

Wednesday, November 5 

• Trail Time Video Commemoration: A thoughtful Remembrance Day video, compiled by Ms. Laurie, was shared during Trail Time. Teachers facilitated classroom discussions, and students were encouraged to reflect on the importance of remembrance. 
• Students needing support were directed to our Student Services team. 

Friday, November 7 

• Poppy Distribution: Period 2 teachers distributed poppies to students. Donations were collected through the main office and will be forwarded to the Royal Canadian Legion. 
•  Moment of Silence: At 10:50 a.m., we held a formal school-wide moment of silence. NTHS student Kayla D. performed The Last Post on trumpet, followed by a moment of silence and The Reveille. 
• Staff on Period 2 prep supported students in common areas to maintain a respectful atmosphere. 

Thank you to all staff and students for your participation and reverence during these important observances. 

Calgary Stampede 2027 Poster Competition 

Calling all young artists aged 15–24! The Calgary Stampede Poster Competition is now open. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your talent, win scholarships, and design the official 2027 Calgary Stampede poster.
