Student Drop-off and Pick-up

Here is a big shout out to all parents to thank you for working together to make pick-up after school go so much more smoothly. With parents using the larger loop around the staff parking area, and arriving a little later when possible, traffic flow is more efficient. This allows us to move everyone in a more timely and safe manner.

Drop-off is also a challenging time and often impacts Harvest Hills Boulevard. Spreading out student arrival times, waiting for space before turning onto the boulevard from your neighbourhood street, and encouraging your teen to only use controlled crosswalks when the pedestrian light is green, all help to make traffic flow as smooth as possible.

Be aware that police have been present and follow up on illegal u-turns, waiting for students in the bus zone, and speeding. U-turns on our NTHS property are prohibited. Please also follow the no stopping signs which have been placed to keep traffic flow exiting proceeding smoothly.

Student Parking

All student parking spots are currently in use.  Students paid for a particular spot and display a current parking pass for that spot.  Some students have, on occasion, parked in someone else’s spot.  We have made PA announcements and placed warning signs on student cars where this has occurred.  We will call on the Calgary Parking Authority to help us keep the spots available for the students who paid for their use.
